{"id":11368,"date":"2025-10-23T16:12:12","date_gmt":"2025-10-23T13:12:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theoutlet.sa\/?post_type=product&#038;p=11368"},"modified":"2025-10-23T16:12:12","modified_gmt":"2025-10-23T13:12:12","slug":"contrave-8-90-mg-112-tablets","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/theoutlet.sa\/ar\/\u0645\u0646\u062a\u062c\/contrave-8-90-mg-112-tablets\/","title":{"rendered":"Contrave 8\/90 mg 112 Tablets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Contrave\u00ae contains 2 active substances: naltrexone hydrochloride and bupropion hydrochloride and is used in obese or overweight adults to manage weight together with a reduced calorie diet and physical exercise.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This medicine works on areas on the brain involved in the control of food intake and energy expenditure.<\/li>\n<li>Contrave\u00ae is approved for use in patients with an initial body mass index of 30 or greater; it can also be given to those with a body mass index between 27 and 30 if they have additional weightrelated conditions such as controlled high blood pressure (hypertension), type 2 diabetes or high levels of lipid (fat) in the blood.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to use:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>The tablets are taken orally.<\/li>\n<li>The tablets should be swallowed whole with some water.<\/li>\n<li>The tablets should preferably be taken with food.<\/li>\n<li>The tablets should not be cut, chewed, or crushed.<\/li>\n<li>Upon initiating treatment, the dose should be escalated over a 4week period as follows:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Week 1: One tablet in the morning<\/p>\n<p>Week 2: One tablet in the morning and one tablet in the evening<\/p>\n<p>Week 3: Two tablets in the morning and one tablet in the evening<\/p>\n<p>Week 4 and onwards: Two tablets in the morning and two tablets in the evening<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>The need for continued treatment should be evaluated after 16 weeks and reevaluated annually.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>If a dose is missed, patients should not take an additional dose, but take the prescribed next dose at the usual time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Older People<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Use caution when taking Contrave\u00ae, if you are 65 years or older. Contrave\u00ae is not recommended if you are over 75 years.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Children and adolescents<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>No studies have been conducted in children and adolescents under the age of 18. Therefore Contrave\u00ae<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Do not take Contrave\u00ae with:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (medicines to treat depression or Parkinson\u2019s disease) such as phenelzine, selegiline, or rasagiline. You must stop taking these medicines for at least 14 days before starting Contrave\u00ae.<\/li>\n<li>Opiates and opiate containing medicines for example to treat cough and cold (such as mixtures containing dextromethorphan or codeine), opiate addiction (such as methadone), pain (for example, morphine and codeine), diarrhoea (for example, paregoric).<\/li>\n<li>You must have stopped taking any opiate medicines at least 710 days before starting Contrave.<\/li>\n<li>Your doctor may carry out a blood test to ensure that your body has cleared these medicines before starting your treatment.<\/li>\n<li>Naltrexone blocks the effects of opiates; if you take higher doses of opiates to overcome these effects of naltrexone, you may suffer from an acute opiate intoxication which may be life threatening.<\/li>\n<li>After you stop treatment with Contrave\u00ae you may be more sensitive to low doses of opiates.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Contrave\u00ae contains 2 active substances: naltrexone hydrochloride and bupropion hydrochloride and is used in obese or overweight adults to manage weight together with a reduced calorie diet and physical exercise.
