What Agomelatine Tablets are used for :<\/b><\/b><\/div>\n

  • Agomelatine Tablets are given to treat your depression.<\/li>\n
  • Agomelatine Tablets are used in adults.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
    Do not take Agomelatine Tablets :\u00a0<\/b><\/b><\/div>\n

    • If you are allergic to agomelatine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.<\/li>\n
    • If your liver does not work properly.<\/li>\n
    • If you are taking fluvoxamine (another medicine used in the treatment of depression) or ciprofloxacin (an antibiotic).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
      Warnings and precautions :<\/b><\/b><\/div>\n

      There could be some reasons why Agomelatine Tablets may not be suitable for you:<\/div>\n
        \n
      • If you are taking medicines known to affect the liver.<\/li>\n
      • If you are obese or overweight.<\/li>\n
      • If you are diabetic.<\/li>\n
      • If you have bipolar disorder.<\/li>\n
      • If you are suffering from dementia.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
        Possible side effects\u00a0 :<\/b><\/b><\/div>\n

        • Most side effects are mild or moderate.<\/li>\n
        • They usually occur within the first two weeks of the treatment and are usually temporary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
          Very common side effects:<\/b><\/div>\n

          • Headache<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
            Other medicines and Agomelatine Tablets :<\/b><\/b><\/div>\n

            • You should not take Agomelatine Tablets together with certain medicine: fluvoxamine (another medicine used in the treatment of depression), ciprofloxacin (an antibiotic).<\/li>\n
            • Make sure to tell your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicines: propranolol (a beta-blocker used in the treatment of hypertension), enoxacin (antibiotic)<\/li>\n
            • If\u00a0 you are smoking more than 15 cigarettes\/day.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              How to take Agomelatine Tablets :
              \n<\/b><\/p>\n

              • The recommended dose of Agomelatine Tablets is one tablet (25mg) at bedtime.<\/li>\n
              • In some cases, your doctor may prescribe a higher dose (50mg), i.e. two tablets to be taken together at bedtime.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
                How to store Agomelatine Tablets :<\/b><\/b><\/div>\n
                  \n
                • Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.<\/li>\n
                • Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton and blister.<\/li>\n
                • The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.<\/li>\n
                • Store in the original package in order to protect from moisture.<\/li>\n
                • This medicinal product does not require any special temperature storage conditions.<\/li>\n
                • Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
