Use:
\nThis medication is used to treat and prevent conditions caused by excess stomach acid such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), stomach and duodenal ulcers, and gastritis.
\nIt relieves heartburn, acid reflux, and indigestion, and promotes healing of the stomach and esophageal lining damaged by acid.<\/p>\n
How it works:
\nThe active ingredient, omeprazole, blocks the proton pumps in the stomach lining responsible for producing gastric acid.
\nBy suppressing acid secretion, it reduces irritation, allows healing of ulcers, and prevents acid-related discomfort.<\/p>\n
Dosage and administration:
\nThe usual adult dose is one capsule (20 mg) once daily, preferably before breakfast or a meal.
\nSwallow the capsule whole with a glass of water do not crush or chew.
