Medication name:<\/strong> Arcoxia 90 mg Tablets contain the active ingredient Etoricoxib<\/strong>, which belongs to the class of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)<\/strong> known as COX-2 inhibitors<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Each pack includes 28 film-coated tablets<\/strong> for oral use.<\/p>\n

Use:<\/strong> Arcoxia is used to relieve pain and inflammation<\/strong> in conditions such as osteoarthritis<\/strong>, rheumatoid arthritis<\/strong>, ankylosing spondylitis<\/strong>, and gouty arthritis<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

It may also be prescribed for the short-term treatment of acute pain<\/strong> and postoperative dental pain<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

How it works:<\/strong> Etoricoxib selectively inhibits the cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) enzyme<\/strong>, which is responsible for producing prostaglandins that cause pain and inflammation.<\/p>\n

By blocking COX-2, Arcoxia provides effective pain relief while minimizing stomach irritation compared to traditional NSAIDs.<\/p>\n

Dosage and administration:<\/strong> The usual dose is 90 mg once daily<\/strong>, taken with or without food<\/strong>, as directed by a doctor.<\/p>\n

The lowest effective dose should be used for the shortest possible duration. The tablet should be swallowed whole with water<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Side effects:<\/strong> Common side effects include headache<\/strong>, dizziness<\/strong>, heartburn<\/strong>, nausea<\/strong>, indigestion<\/strong>, swelling of legs or ankles (edema)<\/strong>, and increased blood pressure<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
