Itraconazole 100 mg capsules<\/b><\/div>\n

What Itraconazole is used for:<\/b><\/div>\n
    \n
  • It is an azole antifungal, are indicated for the treatment of onychomycosis of the toenail mainly.<\/li>\n
  • As well as Itraconazole is indicated for the treatment of the following fungal infections when thought likely to be susceptible:<\/li>\n
  • Vulvovaginal candidiasis (infection of the vagina)<\/li>\n
  • Oral candidiasis (infection of the mouth)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
    Do not take Itraconazole if:<\/b><\/div>\n
      \n
    • Hypersensitivity to Itraconazole<\/li>\n
    • You have heart problems (congestive heart problems)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
      Warnings & Precautions:<\/b><\/div>\n
        \n
      • Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Itraconazole<\/li>\n
      • If you have history of heart problems<\/li>\n
      • If you have liver problems<\/li>\n
      • If known reduced gastric acidity<\/li>\n
      • Capsules and Oral Solution should not be used interchangeably.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
        Possible Side Effects:<\/b><\/div>\n

        • Headache<\/li>\n
        • Fatigue<\/li>\n
        • Nausea<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
          Other medicines and Itraconazole:<\/b><\/div>\n
            \n
          • Tell your doctor or pharmacist about all medicines you take, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins and herbal supplements.<\/li>\n
          • Do not use these drug while taking Itraconazole because of Increased toxicity: cisapride, midazolam, nisoldipine, felodipine, pimozide, quinidine, dofetilide, triazolam, methadone and levacetylmethadol.<\/li>\n
          • Do not take lovastatin or simvastatin or any HMG CoA reductase inhibitor (any statin) with Itraconazole<\/li>\n
          • Do not take Ergot alkaloids metabolized by CYP3A4 such as dihydroergotamine, ergometrine (ergonovine), ergotamine and methylergometrine (methylergonovine) with Itraconazole<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
            How to take Itraconazole:<\/b><\/div>\n
              \n
            • Adults above 18 years of age:<\/li>\n
            • The usual dose for onychomycosis Fingernails only: 2 treatment pulses, each consisting of 200 mg (2 capsules) twice a day (400 mg\/day) for 1 week.<\/li>\n
            • The pulses are separated by a 3-week period without Itraconazole.<\/li>\n
            • Itraconazole capsules should be taken after a full meal<\/li>\n
            • Separate from taking it with antacids or gastric secretion suppressors.<\/li>\n
            • It can be taken any time of the day<\/li>\n
            • Do not break the capsule in half<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
              How to store Itraconazole:<\/b><\/div>\n

              • Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.<\/li>\n
              • Store at Room Temperature [77\u00b0F (25\u00b0C)].<\/li>\n
