attaches to a specific target in the body called TNF (tumour necrosis factor)-alpha.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Remicade belongs to a group of medicines called &#8220;TNF inhibitors&#8221;.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is used by adults for the following inflammatory diseases:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Rheumatoid arthritis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Psoriatic arthritis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Ankylosing spondylitis\u00a0(\u00a0Ankylosing spondylitis\u00a0)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Psoriasis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Remicade is also used by adults and children aged 6 years and over for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Crohn&#8217;s Disease<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Ulcerative Colitis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Remicade works by selectively attaching to TNF-alpha and blocking its action.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>TNF-alpha is involved in inflammatory processes in the body, so blocking it can reduce the inflammation in your body.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How To Use:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Rheumatoid Arthritis:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>The usual dose is 3 mg per kg of body weight.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Psoriatic arthritis,\u00a0ankylosing spondylitis\u00a0(\u00a0Ankylosing spondylitis\u00a0), psoriasis,\u00a0ulcerative colitis\u00a0and\u00a0Crohn&#8217;s disease<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>The usual dose is 5 mg per kg of body weight.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>How Remicade is given:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Remicade will be given to you by a doctor or nurse.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>The doctor or nurse will prepare the medicine for infusion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>The medicine will be given as an infusion (drip) (over 2 hours) into one of your veins, usually in your arm.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>After the third treatment, your doctor may decide that you should receive the Remicade dose over 1 hour.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>You will be observed while you receive Remicade and for 1 to 2 hours afterwards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>How much Remicade is given:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Your doctor will determine your dose and how often you will receive Remicade.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>This depends on your illness, your weight and how well you respond to Remicade.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The table below shows how often you will usually receive this medicine after your first dose.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>The active substance is INFLIXIMAB.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Each vial contains 100 mg of infliximab.\u00a0After reconstitution, each ml contains 10 mg of INFLIXIMAB.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>What Remicade looks like and contents of the pack:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Remicade comes in a vial containing a powder to concentrate for solution for
