of thyroid hormones in adults and children with an overactive thyroid gland (hyperthyroidism).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>It can be used to restore the normal function of the thyroid gland before its partial removal by<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Do not take Carbimazole:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>If you\u2019re allergic to the active substance or any other component of this medicine.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>If you have had a serious allergy to other anti-thyroid medications such as Thiamazole, Methimazole or Propylthiouracil<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>If you have a serious blood disorder.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>If you have severe liver problems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>If you had inflammation of the pancreas (acute pancreatitis) after administration of Carbimazole or Thiamazole in the past.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Warnings and precautions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Talk to your doctor about all your medical conditions before taking this medicine including:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>If you have liver problems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>If you have decreased bone marrow activity (decreased number of blood cells).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>If you are receiving radio-iodine treatment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>If you are pregnant, could be pregnant or could become pregnant.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Possible side effects:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Stop using this product and seek immediate medical help if you develop rash; hives; itching; red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin; wheezing; tightness in the chest or throat; trouble breathing, swallowing, or talking; unusual hoarseness; or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Serious side effects:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Allergic taking:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Theophylline<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Blood thinner such as Warfarin<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Steroids<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Erythromycin (antibiotic)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Digoxin<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Beta blockers used for high blood pressure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Radio-iodine therapy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to take Carbimazole :<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>This medicine is intended for adults and children aged 2 years and older.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Take as indicated by your doctor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Take with or without food.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Adults:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>the recommended starting dose is 20-60 mg given in 2-3 divided doses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Once stable, the dose can be decreased to 5-15 mg daily.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Children:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>the recommended starting dose is 15 mg
