{"id":9943,"date":"2025-10-21T15:45:51","date_gmt":"2025-10-21T12:45:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theoutlet.sa\/?post_type=product&#038;p=9943"},"modified":"2025-10-21T15:45:51","modified_gmt":"2025-10-21T12:45:51","slug":"mydriacyl-1-eye-drop-15-ml","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/theoutlet.sa\/ar\/\u0645\u0646\u062a\u062c\/mydriacyl-1-eye-drop-15-ml\/","title":{"rendered":"Mydriacyl 1% Eye Drop 15 ml"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><b>Tropicamide 1% solution, eye drops<br \/>\n<\/b><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><b>What Tropicamide 1% is used for<\/b><\/div>\n<div>Tropicamide 1% belongs to a group of medicines known as anticholinergics.<\/div>\n<div>It is used to enlarge the pupil of your eye (mydriasis) to allow for easier examination of the inside of the eyeball and to relax the muscles in your eye (cycloplegia) when your vision is being tested.<\/div>\n<div>Tropicamide 1% may also be used before or after you have surgery on your eye.<\/div>\n<div>Do not use Tropicamide 1% if<\/div>\n<div>\u2022\u00a0If you have or think that you may get glaucoma.<\/div>\n<div>\u2022\u00a0If you are allergic to tropicamide or any of the other ingredients<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><b>Warnings and precautions<\/b><\/div>\n<div>Tell your doctor about all of your health conditions, including, if you:<\/div>\n<div>\u2022\u00a0Have increase in the pressure in your eye. You should have your eye pressure checked before initiation of therapy, especially in elderly.<\/div>\n<div>\u2022\u00a0Have red eyes<\/div>\n<div>\u2022\u00a0are not able to use medicines called belladonna alkaloids<\/div>\n<div>Do not use Tropicamide 1% in small infants because of the risk of serious adverse reactions.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><b>Possible side effects<\/b><\/div>\n<div>Like all medicines, Tropicamide 1 % can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.<\/div>\n<div>\u2022\u00a0You may experience some or all of the following effects in your eye(s):<\/div>\n<div>Temporary blurred vision, sensitivity to light, pain, irritation, redness, increase in pupil size, increased pressure in the eye (which may cause headache).<\/div>\n<div>\u2022\u00a0You may also experience effects in other areas of your body including:<\/div>\n<div>Dizziness, headache, fainting, decreased blood pressure, nausea and rash. Psychotic reactions and behavioral disturbances have been reported with this class of drug, especially in children, flushing of the skin, dryness of mucous membranes, dryness of skin, irregular heartbeat, decrease in sweating and dryness of the mouth, constipation, inability to (completely) empty the bladder.<\/div>\n<div>\u2022\u00a0In children, other effects that may occur include:<\/div>\n<div>Skin rash, changes in behavior, enlarged or abnormal abdomen (in infants). More extreme reactions such as confusion, excitement, hallucinations, increasing drowsiness, rapid breathing and changes in pulse rate require urgent medical advice and attention.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><b>Other medicines and Tropicamide 1%<\/b><\/div>\n<div>Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription. This is particularly important if you are taking medicines for the treatment of allergies, depression, anxiety, heart disease, asthma or other breathing problems, motion sickness, Parkinson\u2019s disease, bladder or gastrointestinal problems.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><b>How to use Tropicamide 1%<\/b><\/div>\n<div>\u2022\u00a0The usual dose for cycloplegia is 1 or 2 drops in your eye(s), repeated after 5 minutes. If the eye is not examined within 20 to 30 minutes another drop may be added to prolong the effect.<\/div>\n<div>\u2022\u00a0Remove the loose collar from the cap when the bottle is first opened.<\/div>\n<div>\u2022\u00a0Always use Tropicamide 1% exactly as your doctor has told you. You should check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><b>How to store Tropicamide 1%<\/b><\/div>\n<div>\u2022\u00a0Keep out of the reach and sight of children.<\/div>\n<div>\u2022\u00a0Do not store in a refrigerator or freezer or above 25 \u00b0C.<\/div>\n<div>\u2022\u00a0Keep the container in the outer carton.<\/div>\n<div>\u2022\u00a0Keep the container tightly closed.<\/div>\n<div>\u2022\u00a0Do not use the drops after the expiry date (marked \u2018Exp\u2019) on the bottle and the carton. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.<\/div>\n<div>\u2022\u00a0Do not use eye drops which have changed colour or contain a precipitate (visible solids).<\/div>\n<div>\u2022\u00a0Stop using the bottle 4 weeks after first opening, to prevent infections.<\/div>\n<div>\u2022\u00a0Medicines should not be disposed of via waste water or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required. These measures will help to protect the environment.<\/div>\n<div>\u2022\u00a0Do not pass this medicine on to others.
