{"id":5045,"date":"2025-10-14T15:13:08","date_gmt":"2025-10-14T12:13:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theoutlet.sa\/?post_type=product&#038;p=5045"},"modified":"2025-10-14T15:13:09","modified_gmt":"2025-10-14T12:13:09","slug":"zovirax-200-mg-suspension-125-ml","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/theoutlet.sa\/en\/product\/zovirax-200-mg-suspension-125-ml\/","title":{"rendered":"Zovirax 200 mg Suspension 125 ml"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Acyclovir Oral Suspension is a formulation for oral administration.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>The name of your medicine is Acyclovir 200mg\/5ml Oral Suspension (This belongs to a group of medicines called anti-virals)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Acyclovir can be used:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>to treat herpes and other viral infections caused by the herpes virus (varicella zoster) such as chickenpox and shingles<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>to prevent recurrent attacks of herpes simplex<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>to help prevent those who have low immune systems from getting herpes infections.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How To Use:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Acute treatment of herpes zoster:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>800 mg every 4 hours orally, 5 times daily for 7 to 10 days.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Genital herpes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Treatment of initial genital herpes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>200 mg every 4 hours, 5 times daily for 10 days.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Chronic suppressive therapy for recurrent disease:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>400 mg 2 times daily for up to 12 months, followed by re-evaluation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Alternative regimens have included doses ranging from 200 mg 3 times daily to 200 mg 5 times daily.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>The frequency and severity of episodes of untreated genital herpes may change over time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>After 1 year of therapy, the frequency and severity of the patient\u2019s genital herpes infection should be re-evaluated to assess the need for continuation of therapy with Acyclovir.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Intermittent therapy:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>200 mg every 4 hours, 5 times daily for 5 days.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Therapy should be initiated at the earliest sign or symptom (prodrome) of recurrence.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Treatment of chickenpox:<\/p>\n<p>Children (2 years of age and older):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>20 mg\/kg per dose orally 4 times daily (80 mg\/kg\/day) for 5 days.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Children over 40 kg should receive the adult dose for chickenpox.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Adults and children over 40 kg:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>800 mg 4 times daily for 5 days.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Warnings And Precautions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Acyclovir if:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>You have kidney problems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>You are over 65 years of age.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Your doctor may adjust your dose to reduce the risk of side effects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>You must make sure you drink plenty of &#8216;liquids such as water&#8217;
