Dermatin Solution 20 ml

Medication name: Dermatin Solution 20 mL contains Miconazole nitrate (2%), a broad-spectrum antifungal and antibacterial agent formulated for topical use.

It is designed to treat fungal infections of the skin, scalp, and nails.

Drug class: Topical antifungal / Antimicrobial

Use: Dermatin Solution is used to treat fungal and yeast infections such as athlete’s foot (tinea pedis), ringworm (tinea corporis), jock itch (tinea cruris), and fungal infections of nails and scalp.

It also helps relieve itching, burning, and redness caused by these infections.

How it works: Miconazole works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes.

This causes damage to the fungal cell structure, leading to its death and preventing further spread of infection.

It also has antibacterial effects against some Gram-positive bacteria.

Dosage and administration:

• Clean and dry the affected area thoroughly before use.

• Apply a few drops of Dermatin Solution to the infected area twice daily (morning and evening).

• Gently massage until evenly distributed.

• Continue treatment for at least 10 days after symptoms resolve to prevent recurrence.

• Wash hands after each application.

Side effects: Common side effects include mild burning, stinging, or irritation at the site of application. Rarely, allergic reactions such as redness, rash, or itching may occur.

Precautions:

• For external use only.

• Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and mucous membranes.

• Do not apply to open wounds or severely inflamed skin.

• Consult your doctor before using if pregnant or breastfeeding.

• Stop using if severe irritation or allergic reaction occurs.
