Medication name: Olfen 140 mg Patch (5 pcs) contains Diclofenac sodium (140 mg per patch), a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used for local relief of pain and inflammation in muscles and joints.

Drug class: Topical NSAID / Analgesic and anti-inflammatory

Use: Olfen Patches are used to relieve muscle pain, joint pain, back pain, sprains, tendonitis, and osteoarthritis-related pain.

They provide continuous pain relief at the site of application without affecting the stomach like oral NSAIDs.

How it works: Diclofenac works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes, which decreases the production of prostaglandins, the chemicals responsible for pain, swelling, and inflammation.

The transdermal patch delivers the drug steadily through the skin for up to 12–24 hours of relief.

Dosage and administration:

• Apply one patch to the affected area once or twice daily (as directed by a doctor).

• Ensure the skin is clean, dry, and hair-free before application.

• Press the patch firmly for a few seconds to ensure full contact.

• Do not apply to broken or irritated skin.

• Each patch can be worn for up to 12–24 hours.

• Wash hands after application and dispose of patch safely.
