Nurofen Suspension 150 ml

Medication name:
Nurofen Suspension contains Ibuprofen, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that provides effective relief from pain and fever in children.

Each 5 ml of suspension contains 100 mg of Ibuprofen. The product comes in a 150 ml bottle with a measuring syringe or spoon for precise dosing.

Use:
Nurofen Suspension is used to relieve mild to moderate pain such as teething pain, earache, sore throat, headache, toothache, and muscle aches in children.

It is also indicated for the reduction of fever and discomfort associated with colds, flu, and post-vaccination reactions.

How it works:
Ibuprofen works by inhibiting the enzyme cyclooxygenase (COX), which is responsible for producing prostaglandins substances that cause pain, inflammation, and fever.

By blocking their formation, Nurofen effectively reduces pain, lowers fever, and decreases inflammation, helping children feel more comfortable.

Dosage and administration:
Shake the bottle well before each use.
Administer orally using the provided syringe or measuring spoon.
The usual dose is 5–10 mg per kg of body weight every 6–8 hours as needed, without exceeding 4 doses in 24 hours.
Do not exceed the recommended dose or use for more than 3 days without consulting a doctor.
It is best given with food or milk to minimize stomach irritation.

Side effects:
Nurofen Suspension is generally well tolerated.
Occasionally, mild stomach upset, nausea, or diarrhea may occur.
Rarely, allergic reactions such as rash, itching, or swelling may develop.
Stop use and seek medical advice if any signs of allergy, abdominal pain, or unusual symptoms occur.

Precautions:
For oral use only.
Do not use in children under 3 months or weighing less than 5 kg unless prescribed by a doctor.
Avoid use in children with stomach ulcers, severe asthma, kidney, or liver disease.
