Use:
This medication is used to provide rapid relief from occasional constipation in adults.
It may also be used under medical supervision to cleanse the bowel before diagnostic procedures such as colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, or surgery.
It helps stimulate a natural bowel movement and soften hard stools for easier evacuation.

How it works:
Fleet Enema contains sodium phosphate, a combination of sodium dihydrogen phosphate and disodium hydrogen phosphate.
When administered rectally, it draws water into the lower bowel through an osmotic effect.
This increases fluid content in the intestines, softens the stool, and promotes peristalsis (bowel movement) within 5 to 15 minutes.

Dosage and administration:
For adults and children aged 12 years and older, use one 133 ml bottle as a single dose unless directed otherwise by a doctor.
Remove the protective shield from the enema tip, gently insert the lubricated tip into the rectum while lying on the left side with knees bent, and squeeze the bottle slowly to release the solution.
Try to retain the enema for 2 to 5 minutes before allowing a bowel movement.
Each enema is for single use only — discard any remaining liquid after use.

Side effects:
Fleet Enema is generally effective and safe when used as directed.
Mild side effects may include abdominal cramps, bloating, or rectal irritation.
Overuse or incorrect dosing may lead to dehydration, electrolyte imbalance (especially high phosphate and low calcium), or kidney strain.
Seek medical help immediately if you experience dizziness, vomiting, irregular heartbeat, muscle weakness, or severe abdominal pain.

Precautions:
Do not use if you have kidney disease, heart failure, dehydration, intestinal blockage, inflammatory bowel disease, or abdominal pain of unknown cause.
Consult a doctor before use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or on a sodium-restricted diet.
Do not use more than one enema in 24 hours.
This medicine is for rectal use only — never swallow it.
