Tabiflex Cool 1% Gel 50 g

Medication name: Tabiflex-Cool Gel 1% (50 g) contains Diclofenac sodium (1%), a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) formulated as a cooling topical gel for relief of pain, inflammation, and swelling in muscles and joints.

Drug class: Topical NSAID / Analgesic and anti-inflammatory

Use: Tabiflex-Cool Gel is used for local treatment of musculoskeletal pain and inflammation, including:

• Muscle aches, sprains, and strains

• Back and neck pain

• Joint pain from arthritis or rheumatism

• Sports injuries and overuse conditions (e.g., tendonitis, bursitis)

How it works: Diclofenac works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes, which reduces the synthesis of prostaglandins  substances responsible for pain, swelling, and inflammation.
The gel’s cooling base provides an instant soothing sensation, helping reduce discomfort while the medication acts beneath the skin.

Dosage and administration:

• Apply a thin layer of gel to the affected area 3–4 times daily.

• Gently massage until fully absorbed.

• Use only on intact, unbroken skin.

• Do not cover with bandages unless advised by a doctor.

• Wash hands after use (unless treating hands).

Side effects: Common side effects include mild skin redness, itching, or irritation at the site of application. Rarely, allergic skin reactions or photosensitivity may occur.

Precautions:

• For external use only.

• Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, or open wounds.

• Do not use with other NSAID-containing products.

• Avoid prolonged exposure of treated areas to sunlight.

• Not recommended during the last trimester of pregnancy.
