Medication name: Bonjela Adult Mouth Ulcer Gel 15 g is a topical oral gel formulated to provide fast relief from mouth ulcers, sores, and gum irritation.

It contains Choline salicylate (8.7%) as a pain reliever and anti-inflammatory, and Cetalkonium chloride (0.01%) as an antiseptic.

Drug class: Oral analgesic and antiseptic gel

Use: Bonjela Adult Gel is used to relieve pain, swelling, and discomfort caused by mouth ulcers, canker sores, sore gums, and denture irritation.

It also helps prevent infection and promotes faster healing of oral tissues.

How it works:

• Choline salicylate works by reducing inflammation and soothing pain in the affected area.

• Cetalkonium chloride acts as an antiseptic, helping to kill bacteria and prevent secondary infection.

Dosage and administration:

• Apply a small amount of gel directly onto the affected area using a clean finger.

• Gently massage until a thin film forms over the sore.

• Use every 3 hours as needed, especially after meals and before sleep.

• Do not eat or drink immediately after applying to allow the gel to work effectively.

Side effects: Generally well tolerated. Occasionally, mild stinging, irritation, or allergic reactions may occur.

Precautions:

• For oral use only.

• Not suitable for children under 16 years, due to salicylate content.
