Medication name: Contractubex Gel contains Heparin (50 IU/g), Allantoin (10 mg/g), and Extractum Cepae (Onion Extract, 100 mg/g).
Each tube contains 50 grams of gel for topical application.
Drug class: Scar treatment / Skin regenerating agent
Use: Contractubex is used to treat and reduce scars caused by surgery, burns, injuries, acne, or stretch marks.
It helps make scars softer, smoother, and less visible, while also reducing redness, tightness, and itching.
How it works:
-
Heparin improves blood flow, reduces inflammation, and softens scar tissue.
-
Allantoin promotes cell regeneration and helps the skin absorb other active ingredients.
-
Onion extract has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties that help reduce excessive scar formation and improve healing.
Dosage and administration:
-
Apply a thin layer of Contractubex Gel to the scar 2–3 times daily.
-
Massage gently for several minutes until fully absorbed.
-
For old scars, cover with a light dressing overnight to enhance absorption.
-
Consistent use for at least 4–8 weeks is recommended; old scars may require longer treatment (up to 6 months).
Side effects: Mild redness, itching, or tightness may occur initially and usually fade with continued use. Rarely, allergic skin reactions can occur.
Precautions:
-
For external use only.
-
Do not apply to open wounds or mucous membranes.
-
Use regularly for best results.
-
Avoid exposure of treated areas to extreme cold or sunlight during therapy.
-
Safe for long-term use under medical supervision.
Storage: Store below 25 °C, in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children.
