Dentinox Infant Colic Drop 100 ml

Medication name: Dentinox Infant Colic Drop 100 ml
Drug class: Antiflatulent / Colic relief drop (contains activated dimeticone)
Use: This medication is used in infants from birth to help relieve colic symptoms associated with trapped air or wind in the stomach.
It may help when the baby seems uncomfortable due to gas or bloating and is used alongside feeding.

How it works: The active substance, activated dimeticone, works by reducing the surface tension of gas bubbles in the baby’s tummy, allowing trapped gas to combine and be expelled more easily, thus helping to reduce discomfort.

Dosage and administration: Shake the bottle before use.
The recommended dose is 2.5 ml (one measured dose from the syringe) with or immediately after each feed, up to a maximum of 6 doses in 24 hours.
Alternatively, some product instructions state 5 ml with or after each feed in certain regions; always follow the local product leaflet or your pharmacist’s guidance.
This medication may be added to the baby’s bottle or administered orally directly from the syringe.

Side effects: Side effects are rare, but if your baby develops a rash; swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat; difficulty breathing or swallowing; or red, blistered, or peeling skin, stop use and seek medical attention immediately.

Precautions: Do not use if the baby is known to have an allergy to dimeticone or any other ingredients in the product.
Use caution if the baby is being treated for a thyroid disorder or has sugar intolerances, and notify your healthcare provider before use.
It may also be harmful to teeth, so care should be taken. Always store out of reach of children.

Storage: Store at room temperature below about 25 °C (77 °F). Do not use after the expiry date stated on the packaging.
