Medication name:
Diflucan 150 mg Capsule contains Fluconazole (150 mg), an antifungal medication that treats and prevents fungal and yeast infections.
Each pack contains 1 hard gelatin capsule for oral use only.

Use:
Diflucan is used to treat vaginal yeast infections (candidiasis) and other fungal infections affecting the mouth, throat, esophagus, urinary tract, or bloodstream.
It is also used to prevent fungal infections in patients with weakened immune systems due to chemotherapy, radiation, or other causes.

How it works:
Fluconazole works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, a key component of fungal cell membranes.
This disruption weakens the fungal cell wall, causing the fungus to die and the infection to clear.

Dosage and administration:
For vaginal yeast infections, the typical adult dose is one 150 mg capsule taken as a single oral dose.
For other infections, dosage and duration vary depending on the infection type and medical advice.
Swallow the capsule whole with water, with or without food.

Side effects:
