Use:
This medication is used to relieve abdominal pain, cramps, bloating, and discomfort caused by irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and other intestinal disorders involving spasms.
It helps regulate bowel movement without causing constipation or diarrhea.

How it works:
The active ingredient, mebeverine hydrochloride, acts directly on the smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract.
It relaxes these muscles by reducing abnormal contractions (spasms) without affecting normal bowel motility.
This action helps relieve pain, cramping, and bloating associated with IBS while maintaining normal digestion.

Dosage and administration:
The usual adult dose is one capsule (200 mg) twice daily, usually taken morning and evening.
Swallow the capsule whole with water — do not chew or crush it, as it is a sustained-release (SR) formulation designed for gradual absorption.
It is best taken 20 minutes before a meal to prevent stomach discomfort.
Do not exceed the prescribed dose or stop suddenly without consulting your doctor.

Side effects:
