Zyrtec 0.1% Syrup, 75 ml

* Antihistamine used to relieve allergy symptoms
* Contains cetirizine hydrochloride, a second-generation antihistamine

Uses

* Allergic rhinitis (hay fever)

Dosage and Administration

* Adults and children above 12 years: 10 mg once daily
* Children 6–12 years: 5 mg twice daily
* Children 2–6 years: 2.5 mg twice daily
* Dose adjustment may be required in patients with kidney impairment

Warnings and Precautions

* Consult a doctor if you have kidney problems
* Use with caution in patients with epilepsy or risk of seizures
* May increase the risk of urinary retention in some patients
* Avoid alcohol while taking cetirizine

Contraindications

* Allergy to cetirizine or any ingredient of the medicine
* Severe kidney disease
* Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding only if advised by a doctor
