Devarin 20 Mg F.C. Tablet

Medication name: Devarin 20 mg Film-Coated Tablets contain Vardenafil hydrochloride, a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED) in adult men.

Drug class: PDE5 inhibitor / Erectile dysfunction treatment

Use: Devarin is prescribed to help men with erectile dysfunction (difficulty achieving or maintaining an erection sufficient for sexual activity).

How it works:
Vardenafil enhances the effect of nitric oxide, a natural chemical released during sexual stimulation.

It works by inhibiting the PDE5 enzyme, which increases cGMP levels, relaxing the blood vessels in the penis and improving blood flow, leading to a firm and sustained erection.
It only works in response to sexual stimulation.

Dosage and administration:

• Usual dose: 10–20 mg, taken approximately 25–60 minutes before sexual activity.

• Can be taken with or without food (avoid heavy or high-fat meals).

• Do not take more than one tablet in 24 hours.

• Swallow whole with water.

Side effects: Common: Headache, flushing, nasal congestion, indigestion, dizziness, and back pain.
Rare but serious: Chest pain, irregular heartbeat, sudden vision or hearing loss, or prolonged erection (priapism).

Precautions:

• Do not use with nitrates or nitric oxide donors (may cause dangerous drop in blood pressure).

• Avoid alcohol and grapefruit products while using this medication.

• Use caution if you have heart disease, liver/kidney problems, low blood pressure, or vision disorders.

• Not intended for women or men under 18 years.

• Seek medical help if erection lasts longer than 4 hours.
