Gyno-Mikozal 400 mg Vaginal Ovule 3pcs

Medication name: Gyno-Mikozal 400 mg Vaginal Ovules (3 pcs) contain Miconazole nitrate (400 mg), an antifungal medication used to treat vaginal yeast infections caused by Candida species.

Drug class: Imidazole antifungal / Antimycotic

Use: Gyno-Mikozal is indicated for the treatment of:

• Vaginal candidiasis (yeast infection)

• Symptoms such as itching, burning, irritation, and abnormal discharge caused by fungal infection.

How it works:
Miconazole inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol, a key component of fungal cell membranes.

This leads to damage and leakage of fungal cells, effectively eliminating the infection and relieving symptoms.

Dosage and administration:

• Insert one ovule (400 mg) deeply into the vagina once daily at bedtime for 3 consecutive nights.

• The ovule should be inserted using clean hands or an applicator if provided.

• Continue using for the full course even if symptoms improve earlier.

• Avoid sexual intercourse during treatment to prevent reinfection.

Side effects: Generally mild and temporary may include vaginal irritation, burning, itching, or discharge. Rarely, abdominal cramps or rash may occur.

Precautions:

• For vaginal use only.

• Avoid during menstruation; restart after your period ends.

• Consult a doctor before use if pregnant, breastfeeding, or if symptoms persist beyond 7 days.

• Do not use with latex condoms or diaphragms, as Miconazole can weaken latex.

• Avoid simultaneous use of other vaginal products unless advised by a doctor.
