Avalon-Avoquin 4% Cream 50 gm

Medication name: Avalon Avoquin 4% Cream contains Hydroquinone (4%), a topical depigmenting agent used to lighten areas of darkened skin.

Each tube contains 50 grams of cream for external use only.

Drug class: Skin depigmenting agent / Melanin synthesis inhibitor

Use: Avoquin is used to reduce hyperpigmentation such as melasma, freckles, age spots, acne scars, and dark patches caused by hormonal changes, sun exposure, or skin injury. It helps restore a more even and brighter skin tone.

How it works: Hydroquinone works by inhibiting the enzyme tyrosinase, which is necessary for melanin production in the skin.

This gradually lightens darkened areas and reduces pigmentation over several weeks of regular use.

Dosage and administration:

• Apply a thin layer of Avoquin Cream to the affected area once or twice daily, preferably at night.

• Use only on the darkened skin, avoiding normal surrounding areas.

• Wash hands before and after application.

• Apply sunscreen daily during the day to prevent re-darkening or irritation from sun exposure.

• Do not use for longer than 2–3 months continuously unless advised by a dermatologist.

Side effects: Common side effects include mild redness, dryness, burning, or itching at the application site.

Prolonged or excessive use may lead to skin irritation or temporary darkening (ochronosis).

Precautions:

• For external use only.

• Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and broken skin.

• Do not use on inflamed or irritated areas.

• Stop using if severe irritation or allergic reaction occurs.

• Consult your doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding before use.
