Loceryl Nail Lacquer Solution 5 ml

Medication name: Loceryl Nail Lacquer Solution 5 mL contains Amorolfine hydrochloride (5%), an antifungal medication formulated specifically for treating fungal nail infections (onychomycosis).

Drug class: Topical antifungal (Morpholine derivative)

Use: Loceryl is used to treat mild to moderate fungal infections of the fingernails and toenails caused by dermatophytes, yeasts, and molds.

It helps eliminate infection and restore the natural appearance and strength of the nail.

How it works: Amorolfine works by disrupting the synthesis of sterols (ergosterol) in the fungal cell membrane, which leads to structural damage and death of the fungus. This prevents fungal growth and clears the infection over time.

Dosage and administration:

• File the affected nail (especially infected areas) before first use and clean the nail surface with an alcohol swab.

• Apply the lacquer evenly over the entire nail once or twice weekly using the provided applicator.

• Allow the lacquer to dry completely (about 3–5 minutes).

• Clean the applicator with the provided swab after each use.

• Continue treatment until the infected nail has fully grown out, which may take 6 months for fingernails and 9–12 months for toenails.

Side effects: Mild nail damage, brittleness, or temporary discoloration may occur. Rarely, mild skin irritation around the nail (redness, itching, burning) can develop.

Precautions:

• For external use on nails only.

• Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and mucous membranes.

• Do not use cosmetic nail polish or artificial nails during treatment.

• Consult your doctor before use if pregnant or breastfeeding.

• Consistent, long-term use is necessary for full recovery.

Storage: Store below 30 °C, tightly closed, in a cool, dry place, and out of reach of children. Keep the bottle upright and away from direct heat or flames (flammable).
