Vavo 2% Shampoo 100 ml

Medication name: Vavo 2% Shampoo contains Ketoconazole (2%), a broad-spectrum antifungal agent designed for the treatment and prevention of fungal scalp conditions.

Each bottle contains 100 mL of medicated shampoo for external use only.

Drug class: Topical antifungal / Imidazole derivative

Use: Vavo Shampoo is used to treat and prevent dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis, and tinea versicolor (fungal skin infection).

It helps relieve itching, flaking, scaling, and redness caused by fungal overgrowth on the scalp or skin.

How it works: Ketoconazole works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, a vital component of fungal cell membranes.

This causes cell membrane damage and fungal death, restoring scalp health and preventing recurrence of infection.

Dosage and administration:

• Apply enough shampoo to cover the affected scalp area.

• Lather and leave on for 3–5 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.

• For treatment: use twice weekly for 2–4 weeks.

• For maintenance or prevention: use once every 1–2 weeks.

• Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes, or broken skin.

Side effects: Common side effects include mild scalp irritation, dryness, or oiliness. Rarely, hair texture changes, discoloration, or allergic skin reactions may occur.
