Use:
This medication is used to relieve occasional constipation in infants and young children.
It helps soften hard stools and gently stimulates bowel movement, providing quick and comfortable relief.
It is particularly useful when oral laxatives are not appropriate or tolerated.

How it works:
The active ingredient, glycerol (glycerin), acts locally in the rectum as a mild osmotic agent and lubricant.
It draws water into the stool and the surrounding intestinal tissues, softening the stool and stimulating natural bowel contractions.
This helps restore normal bowel movement, usually within 15 to 30 minutes after use.

Dosage and administration:
For infants and children, insert one suppository (700 mg) into the rectum as needed, preferably in the morning.
Remove the suppository from its wrapper, moisten it with a little water, and gently insert the pointed end first into the rectum.
Encourage the child to remain lying on their side for a few minutes to help retain the suppository.
Do not use more than once daily unless prescribed by a doctor.
Each suppository is for single use only.

Side effects:
Glycelax is generally safe and well tolerated.
Occasionally, mild rectal irritation, burning sensation, or abdominal discomfort may occur.
If your child experiences persistent pain, diarrhea, or rectal bleeding, stop using the product and consult a doctor.

Precautions:
Do not use if the child has rectal bleeding, severe abdominal pain, intestinal obstruction, or inflammatory bowel disease.
Avoid long-term or repeated use without medical advice, as this may reduce natural bowel activity.
Consult a doctor if constipation persists for more than a few days.
For rectal use only — do not swallow.

Store below 25 °C in a dry place, away from direct heat and sunlight.
Keep out of reach of children and do not use after the expiry date printed on the packaging.
