Panadol Joint Tab 24

Medication name: Panadol Joint Tablets (24 tablets) contain Paracetamol (Acetaminophen) 665 mg per tablet, a pain reliever and fever reducer specially formulated for long-lasting relief of joint and muscle pain.

Drug class: Analgesic / Antipyretic

Use: Panadol Joint is used to relieve persistent pain associated with osteoarthritis, back pain, muscle aches, and joint stiffness.

It provides up to 8 hours of pain relief, making it suitable for chronic musculoskeletal discomfort.

How it works: The tablets contain a bi-layer formulation one layer provides immediate pain relief, while the other releases paracetamol slowly over time, maintaining steady pain control.

Paracetamol works by blocking prostaglandin production in the brain, which reduces pain and fever.

Dosage and administration:

• Adults and children over 12 years: Take 2 tablets every 6–8 hours as needed.

• Maximum: 6 tablets in 24 hours.

• Swallow tablets whole with water — do not crush or chew.

• Not suitable for children under 12 years.

Side effects: Generally well tolerated. Rare side effects may include allergic skin reactions, nausea, or liver enzyme elevation with excessive use.

Precautions:

• Do not exceed the recommended dose  overdose may cause serious liver damage.

• Avoid combining with other paracetamol-containing products.

• Consult a doctor if pain persists for more than 7 days or worsens.

• Use cautiously in patients with liver or kidney impairment.

• Safe for use during pregnancy when taken as directed, but consult your doctor first.
