Use:
Rybelsus is used to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus, alongside a balanced diet and regular exercise. It helps lower blood glucose levels and may support weight management in some patients.

How it works:
Rybelsus contains Semaglutide, which mimics the action of a natural hormone called GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1). This hormone helps regulate blood sugar by stimulating insulin release when glucose levels are high, reducing the amount of glucose released by the liver, and slowing down the rate at which food leaves the stomach. The result is steadier blood sugar levels throughout the day and a feeling of fullness that can help reduce appetite.

Dosage and administration:
Rybelsus is taken once daily, preferably in the morning on an empty stomach, at least 30 minutes before eating, drinking, or taking any other medications. Swallow the tablet whole with a small amount of water (no more than 120 ml). The dosage should be taken exactly as prescribed by a healthcare professional.

Side effects:
Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, and decreased appetite. These effects are usually mild and improve over time. Rare but serious side effects may include pancreatitis, kidney problems, or allergic reactions.

Precautions:
