Medication name: Silomes 200 mg Tablets contain the active ingredient Amisulpride, an atypical antipsychotic belonging to the benzamide group.

Each pack contains 30 tablets for oral use.

Use: This medication is prescribed for the treatment of schizophrenia, helping to control symptoms such as hallucinations, delusions, disorganized thinking, and emotional withdrawal.

How it works: Amisulpride works by blocking dopamine D₂ and D₃ receptors in specific areas of the brain, reducing abnormal dopamine activity and improving mood, perception, and behavior.

Dosage and administration: The dosage is individualized and must be determined by a doctor based on the patient’s condition and response to treatment.

Tablets should be swallowed whole with water, and the medication should be taken consistently at the same time each day.

Side effects: Common side effects may include drowsiness, dizziness, weight gain, tremor, restlessness, insomnia, and gastrointestinal discomfort such as constipation or nausea. Some patients may also experience increased prolactin levels, which can cause menstrual changes or breast tenderness.
