Ridon 4 mg 30 Tablets

Medication name: Ridon 4 mg Tablets contain the active ingredient Risperidone, which belongs to the class of atypical antipsychotic medications.

Each pack includes 30 tablets for oral use.

Use: Ridon is prescribed for the treatment of schizophrenia, bipolar mania, and behavioral disturbances in certain conditions such as Alzheimer’s dementia or conduct disorder in children and adolescents.

It helps improve mood, reduce aggression, and stabilize thought processes.

How it works: Risperidone works by balancing dopamine and serotonin levels in the brain.

This helps correct abnormal brain activity, leading to reduced psychotic symptoms such as hallucinations and delusions, and improved emotional and behavioral control.

Dosage and administration: The dose is determined by a physician based on the patient’s condition and response to treatment.

It is usually taken once or twice daily, with or without food. Tablets should be swallowed whole with water.

Do not adjust or stop the dose without consulting a doctor.

Side effects: Common side effects include drowsiness, dizziness, weight gain, increased appetite, restlessness (akathisia), tremors, constipation, and dry mouth.

Some patients may also experience hormonal changes, such as increased prolactin levels.

Precautions: Ridon is not recommended for dementia-related psychosis in elderly patients.
