Earcalm Ear Drop 5 ml

Medication name:
Earcalm Ear Drops contain Acetic Acid 2%, an antibacterial and antifungal agent used to treat and relieve inflammation or infection in the outer ear canal (otitis externa).

Each bottle contains 5 ml of ear drops for otic (ear) use only.

Use:
Earcalm Ear Drops are used to treat mild bacterial or fungal infections of the external ear, commonly known as “swimmer’s ear.”

They help relieve symptoms such as itching, irritation, redness, swelling, and discomfort.

They may also be used preventively after swimming or bathing to maintain ear hygiene.

How it works:
Acetic acid works by creating an acidic environment in the ear canal that inhibits the growth of bacteria and fungi responsible for infections.

This restores the normal ear pH, reduces inflammation, and promotes healing while providing relief from pain and irritation.

Dosage and administration:
Shake well before use.
Instill one spray (approximately one drop) into the affected ear every 2–3 hours during waking hours, or as directed by your doctor.
Continue use for at least two days after symptoms disappear, but not beyond seven days unless advised by a healthcare professional.
For otic use only. Do not insert any objects or cotton swabs into the ear.

Side effects:
Earcalm is generally well tolerated.
A mild stinging or burning sensation may occur briefly after application.
Discontinue use and seek medical advice if severe irritation, swelling, or pain develops.

Precautions:
For ear use only.
Do not use if you have a perforated eardrum, active discharge, or recent ear surgery.
Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and mucous membranes.
Consult your doctor before using during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Keep the bottle nozzle clean and avoid touching it to the ear or other surfaces.

Storage:
Store below 25 °C in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
Keep tightly closed and out of reach of children.
Discard 28 days after opening the bottle.
