Use:
This medication is used to treat constipation in adults and children over 12 years old.
It helps soften hard stools, restore normal bowel movements, and relieve discomfort caused by infrequent or difficult defecation.
It may also be used under medical supervision for managing chronic constipation or fecal impaction.

How it works:
The active ingredient, macrogol 3350, is an osmotic laxative that works by retaining water in the colon.
This increases stool volume and moisture, making it softer and easier to pass.
Eulax also helps maintain the body’s normal electrolyte balance, preventing dehydration during bowel movement.
Because it acts locally in the intestine, it is gentle on the system and does not cause sudden urgency or cramps.

Dosage and administration:
Empty the contents of one sachet into a glass of water (about 125 ml) and stir until completely dissolved before drinking.
The usual adult dose is one sachet once daily, which may be increased to up to three sachets daily depending on the severity of constipation.
For chronic constipation, your doctor may recommend long-term use at the lowest effective dose.
Do not exceed the prescribed amount.
Relief usually occurs within 24 to 48 hours.

Side effects:
Eulax is generally well tolerated.
Mild effects such as bloating, gas, nausea, abdominal discomfort, or diarrhea may occur.
These usually disappear after dose adjustment or stopping the medication.
Seek medical attention if you experience severe abdominal pain, vomiting, or allergic reactions such as rash or swelling.

Precautions:
Do not use if allergic to macrogol or any of the ingredients.
Avoid use in patients with bowel obstruction, perforation, or severe inflammatory bowel disease.
