Use:
This medication is used to relieve occasional constipation and promote gentle bowel movements.
It is particularly useful when rapid relief is needed or when oral laxatives are not suitable.
The suppository works locally in the rectum to help soften stool and stimulate natural bowel movement.

How it works:
The active ingredient, glycerol (also known as glycerin), acts as a mild osmotic agent.
When inserted into the rectum, it draws water into the stool and lubricates the intestinal lining.
This softens hardened stool and gently stimulates bowel contractions, making it easier to pass without straining.
Relief typically occurs within 15 to 30 minutes after use.

Dosage and administration:
For adults and adolescents, insert one suppository (2800 mg) into the rectum as needed, preferably in the morning.
Remove the suppository from its wrapper, moisten it with a little water, and insert the pointed end first into the rectum.
Lie on your side and remain still for a few minutes to help the suppository stay in place.
Do not use more than once daily unless directed by a doctor.
Each suppository is for single use only.

Side effects:
Glycelax is generally well tolerated.
Occasionally, mild irritation, cramping, or a burning sensation in the rectum may occur.
Overuse may cause diarrhea or electrolyte imbalance.
Seek medical advice if you experience persistent discomfort or bleeding.
