Herox 5 mg 30 Tablets

Medication name: Herox 5 mg Tablets (30 tablets) contain Tadalafil 5 mg, a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men.

Drug class: PDE5 inhibitor / Vasodilator

Use: Herox is prescribed for:

• Erectile dysfunction (ED): Helps achieve and maintain an erection sufficient for sexual activity.

• Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH): Relieves urinary symptoms such as difficulty urinating, weak stream, or the need to urinate frequently.

• May also be prescribed for combined ED and BPH symptoms.

How it works:
Tadalafil works by inhibiting the PDE5 enzyme, which increases levels of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) in the smooth muscles of the blood vessels.

This causes relaxation of penile and prostate tissue, improving blood flow and urine flow, while maintaining erectile function during sexual stimulation.

Dosage and administration:

• Usually taken once daily, at the same time each day, with or without food.

• Swallow tablet with water.

• Do not take more than one dose in 24 hours.

• For erectile dysfunction, sexual stimulation is required for the medicine to work.

• Follow your doctor’s prescribed dosing schedule carefully.

Side effects: Common side effects include headache, flushing, nasal congestion, indigestion, muscle pain, or back pain. Rarely, dizziness, blurred vision, or prolonged erection may occur.

Precautions:

• Not for use by women or children.

• Avoid taking with nitrates (for chest pain) or alpha-blockers, as it may cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure.

• Inform your doctor if you have heart disease, liver or kidney impairment, low blood pressure, or a history of stroke.

• Limit alcohol intake while using this medication.

• Seek medical attention if you experience chest pain or an erection lasting more than 4 hours.
