Use:
This medication is used for the relief of sudden (acute) and long-lasting (chronic) diarrhea.
It helps slow bowel movements, reduce stool frequency, and improve stool consistency.
It is especially useful for quick relief when water is not available, such as during travel.

How it works:
The active ingredient, loperamide, acts on the opioid receptors in the intestinal wall.
It slows intestinal movement, allowing more water and electrolytes to be absorbed from the stool.
This helps reduce stool frequency and improve consistency without stopping normal bowel function.

Dosage and administration:
For adults, the usual starting dose is two tablets (4 mg), followed by one tablet (2 mg) after each loose stool.
Do not exceed eight tablets (16 mg) per day.
Place the tablet on your tongue and allow it to dissolve completely no water is needed.
If symptoms persist for more than 48 hours, stop treatment and consult a doctor.
Not recommended for children under 12 years old.

Side effects:
Imodium Instant Melt is generally well tolerated.
Mild side effects may include constipation, stomach pain, dry mouth, drowsiness, or nausea.
Serious but rare side effects include abdominal swelling, allergic reactions, or irregular heartbeat.
Seek immediate medical help if any severe symptoms occur.

Precautions:
Do not use in cases of bacterial infections causing diarrhea (such as Salmonella or Clostridium difficile), or if there is blood in the stool or high fever.
Avoid use if allergic to loperamide or any of the ingredients.
Consult a doctor before use if you have liver disease, are pregnant, or are breastfeeding.
Do not take with other medications that slow intestinal movement unless advised by a doctor.

Store below 25 °C, away from moisture and direct sunlight.
Keep tablets in their original packaging to protect them from humidity.
