Use:
This medication is used to treat conditions caused by excess stomach acid such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), heartburn, stomach and duodenal ulcers, and gastritis.
It helps relieve symptoms like acid reflux, burning sensations, and indigestion while promoting the healing of the stomach and esophagus lining.

How it works:
The active ingredient, omeprazole, works by inhibiting the proton pumps in the stomach wall that produce gastric acid.
By blocking this enzyme system, it significantly decreases acid secretion, helping reduce irritation and allowing ulcers or inflammation to heal more effectively.

Dosage and administration:
The usual adult dose is one capsule (20 mg) once daily, taken before breakfast or a meal.
Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water; do not crush or chew it.
Treatment typically lasts from 2 to 4 weeks for mild reflux and up to 8 weeks for ulcer healing, depending on the condition.
Follow your doctor’s instructions carefully and do not exceed the prescribed dose.

Side effects:
Omiz is generally well tolerated.
Common side effects may include headache, nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation, or flatulence.
