Otozol 1% Ear Drops contain Clotrimazole 1%, an antifungal medication formulated to treat fungal infections of the external ear canal (otomycosis).

Each bottle contains 10 ml of ear drops for otic (ear) use only.

Use:
Otozol 1% Ear Drops are used to treat fungal infections of the outer ear caused by Candida or Aspergillus species.

They help relieve symptoms such as itching, inflammation, scaling, discomfort, and discharge associated with ear fungal infections.

How it works:
Clotrimazole, the active ingredient, works by disrupting the cell membrane of fungi.

It inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of the fungal cell wall, leading to cell leakage and death of the fungus.

This action clears the infection and helps restore ear canal health.

Dosage and administration:
Instill 2 to 3 drops into the affected ear two to three times daily, or as directed by your doctor.
Tilt your head to keep the ear upward for a few minutes to allow proper absorption.
Continue treatment for the full duration prescribed, even if symptoms improve earlier.
For otic use only. Avoid inserting objects into the ear during treatment.

Side effects:
Otozol is generally well tolerated.
Mild transient burning, stinging, or irritation at the application site may occur.
In rare cases, allergic reactions such as redness, rash, or swelling may appear.
