Repaderm Gel 100 gm

Medication name: Repaderm Gel 100 g contains Aescin (1%) and Diethylamine salicylate (5%), a combination of anti-inflammatory and analgesic agents formulated to reduce swelling, relieve pain, and combat inflammation.

Drug class: Topical anti-inflammatory / Analgesic / Venotonic

Use: Repaderm Gel is used for the local relief of pain and inflammation caused by:

• Muscle strains, sprains, and sports injuries

• Bruises, hematomas, and swelling

• Joint pain and stiffness

• Varicose veins or localized venous congestion

How it works:

• Aescin (from horse chestnut) strengthens vein walls, reduces capillary leakage, and decreases swelling.

• Diethylamine salicylate acts as an anti-inflammatory and pain reliever, reducing local pain and inflammation.
  Together, they help relieve discomfort, speed recovery, and reduce tissue inflammation.

Dosage and administration:

• Apply a thin layer of gel to the affected area 2–3 times daily.

• Gently massage until fully absorbed.

• For sensitive or inflamed areas, apply lightly without rubbing.

• Wash hands after application.

Side effects: Generally mild — may include redness, itching, or slight irritation at the site of application. Rarely, allergic skin reactions may occur.

Precautions:

• For external use only.

• Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes, or open wounds.

• Do not use with other salicylate- or NSAID-containing creams.

• Avoid excessive use or prolonged application on large skin areas.

• Consult a doctor before use if pregnant or breastfeeding.

• Stop using if rash or irritation occurs.
