Use:
This medication is used to relieve occasional constipation and to prepare the bowel before certain medical procedures such as rectal examinations or surgeries.
It works locally in the rectum to soften the stool and stimulate a natural bowel movement, usually within minutes.

How it works:
Tegalax contains sodium citrate, sorbitol, and glycerol, which act together to draw water into the bowel and soften the stool (osmotic effect).
It also contains sodium lauryl sulfoacetate, which helps lubricate the rectum and stimulate gentle contractions of the colon.
These combined actions promote an effective and comfortable bowel evacuation without irritating the intestines.

Dosage and administration:
For adults and children over 12 years: use one tube (15 g) rectally as needed.
For children aged 3 to 12 years: use only under medical supervision.
Remove the cap, gently insert the lubricated nozzle into the rectum, and squeeze the entire contents of the tube.
Hold the gel in place for a few minutes before evacuation to allow it to work effectively.
Each tube is for single use only — discard after use.

Side effects:
Tegalax is generally well tolerated.
Occasionally, mild rectal irritation, a burning sensation, or abdominal cramping may occur.
Overuse may lead to diarrhea or electrolyte imbalance.
