Use:
This medication is used to provide fast and effective relief from occasional constipation in children.
It works by softening hard stools and stimulating bowel movement, usually resulting in a bowel action within minutes.
It may also be used under medical supervision to clear the bowel before certain medical procedures or examinations.

How it works:
Fleet Enema contains sodium phosphate (a combination of sodium dihydrogen phosphate and disodium hydrogen phosphate).
When inserted rectally, it increases the amount of water in the bowel through an osmotic effect.
This softens the stool and stimulates the colon to contract, promoting a natural bowel movement and rapid relief from constipation.

Dosage and administration:
For children aged 2 to 12 years, use one bottle (66.6 ml) as a single dose unless otherwise directed by a doctor.
For children under 2 years, use only if prescribed by a physician.
Remove the protective shield from the enema tip, gently insert the tip into the rectum with the child lying on the left side, and squeeze the bottle slowly to administer the solution.
Encourage the child to retain the enema for 2 to 5 minutes before allowing a bowel movement.
Each enema is for single use only — discard any unused portion.

Side effects:
Fleet Enema is generally well tolerated when used as directed.
Possible mild side effects include rectal irritation, cramping, or bloating.
Overuse or incorrect dosing may cause dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, or abdominal pain.
Seek immediate medical attention if symptoms such as vomiting, weakness, irregular heartbeat, or persistent pain occur.

Precautions:
Do not use if the child is dehydrated, has kidney problems, heart disease, or abdominal pain of unknown cause.
Avoid use in children with bowel obstruction or those on a low-sodium or phosphate-restricted diet.
Use only under medical advice in young children and never give more than one enema in 24 hours.
