Medication name: Quetta XR 200 mg Tablets contain the active ingredient Quetiapine fumarate, an atypical antipsychotic used to treat schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and as an adjunct treatment for major depressive disorder (MDD).

Each pack contains 30 extended-release tablets for oral use.

Use: Quetta XR helps relieve psychotic symptoms such as hallucinations, delusions, and disturbed thoughts in schizophrenia.

It also stabilizes mood and reduces episodes of mania or depression in bipolar disorder.

In some cases, it is used with antidepressants to improve outcomes in major depression.

How it works: Quetiapine acts by modulating dopamine (D₂) and serotonin (5-HT₂) receptors in the brain, correcting chemical imbalances responsible for mood and thought disturbances.

The extended-release formulation provides a gradual, steady release of medication for 24-hour symptom control.

Dosage and administration: The usual dose is once daily, preferably in the evening, with or without food.
