Benzaflex 10 mg 30 Tablets

Medication name: Benzaflex 10 mg Tablets contain the active ingredient Cyclobenzaprine hydrochloride, a centrally acting skeletal muscle relaxant.

Each pack includes 30 tablets for oral use.

Drug class: Muscle relaxant

Use: Benzaflex is prescribed for the relief of muscle spasms and pain associated with acute musculoskeletal conditions such as back pain, neck pain, or muscle strain.

It helps reduce stiffness, improves mobility, and is often used alongside rest and physical therapy.

How it works: Cyclobenzaprine acts on the central nervous system, particularly the brainstem, to reduce muscle tone and block nerve impulses that cause muscle contraction. It does not act directly on the muscles but helps relieve involuntary tightness and pain.

Dosage and administration: The usual adult dose is 10 mg three times daily, as prescribed by the doctor.

It may be taken with or without food. The duration of treatment is generally short-term (up to 2–3 weeks), depending on the condition.

Tablets should be swallowed whole with water.

Side effects: Common side effects include drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, fatigue, and constipation.

Less common effects may include blurred vision, nausea, or headache.

Precautions:

• Avoid alcohol and sedatives as they may enhance drowsiness.

• Not recommended for use in patients with heart rhythm disorders, hyperthyroidism, or liver impairment.
