Medication name: Relezin 2 mg Tablets contain the active ingredient Tizanidine, a centrally acting muscle relaxant.

Each pack includes 30 tablets for oral administration.

Drug class: Muscle relaxant / Antispastic agent

Use: Relezin is used to relieve muscle stiffness, spasm, and spasticity associated with conditions such as multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury, and neurological disorders.

It helps improve muscle control, reduce pain, and enhance mobility.

How it works: Tizanidine acts on the central nervous system by stimulating alpha-2 adrenergic receptors in the spinal cord.

This reduces excessive nerve impulses that cause muscle contractions, resulting in relaxation and decreased muscle tone.

Dosage and administration: The dose is individualized based on the patient’s condition and response.

It is typically taken two to three times daily, with or without food. Tablets should be swallowed whole with water.

Dose increases or discontinuation should be done gradually under medical supervision.
