Use:
This medication is used to relieve and prevent heartburn, acid reflux, indigestion, and stomach or duodenal ulcers.
It helps reduce the symptoms of excess stomach acid and supports healing of the stomach lining.

How it works:
The active ingredient, ranitidine, works by blocking H2 receptors found in the stomach lining.
These receptors normally trigger acid secretion, so by inhibiting them, ranitidine decreases the amount of acid produced.
This helps reduce irritation, relieve pain, and prevent ulcer recurrence.

Dosage and administration:
The usual adult dose is 300 mg once daily at bedtime, or 150 mg twice daily, as directed by your doctor.
Swallow the capsule whole with water; do not crush or chew it.
The duration of treatment depends on the condition, but it generally ranges from 4 to 8 weeks for ulcer healing and maintenance therapy may be prescribed if needed.

Side effects:
Fixit is generally well tolerated.
