Sirdalud 2 mg 30 Tablets

Medication name: Sirdalud 2 mg Tablets contain the active ingredient Tizanidine, a centrally acting muscle relaxant used to relieve muscle spasticity and stiffness.

Each pack contains 30 tablets for oral administration.

Drug class: Muscle relaxant / Antispastic agent

Use: Sirdalud is prescribed to treat muscle spasms and spasticity caused by conditions such as multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury, or neuromuscular disorders.

It helps reduce muscle tension, pain, and improves mobility.

How it works: Tizanidine works by stimulating alpha-2 adrenergic receptors in the spinal cord, which reduces excessive nerve impulses responsible for muscle contraction.

This mechanism decreases muscle tone, resulting in relaxation and pain relief.

Dosage and administration: The dose is adjusted individually by a physician. It is usually taken two to three times daily, with or without food.

Tablets should be swallowed whole with water. The dosage should be increased or reduced gradually under medical supervision to avoid side effects or withdrawal symptoms.

Side effects: Common side effects include drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, fatigue, low blood pressure, and weakness.

In rare cases, it may cause elevated liver enzymes or hallucinations.

Precautions:
