Tilax 2mg 30 Tablets

Medication name: Tilax 2 mg Tablets contain the active ingredient Tizanidine, a centrally acting muscle relaxant.

Each pack includes 30 tablets for oral use.

Drug class: Muscle relaxant / Antispastic agent

Use: Tilax is prescribed to relieve muscle stiffness, spasms, and spasticity resulting from multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury, or neuromuscular disorders.

It helps ease muscle tightness, reduce pain, and improve mobility.

How it works: Tizanidine acts on the central nervous system, stimulating alpha-2 adrenergic receptors in the spinal cord to reduce excessive nerve impulses responsible for muscle contraction.

This mechanism decreases muscle tone, promoting relaxation and flexibility.

Dosage and administration: The dosage is individualized based on the patient’s condition and response to therapy.

It is usually taken two to three times daily, with or without food. Tablets should be swallowed whole with water.

The dose should be increased or decreased gradually as directed by a physician.

Side effects: Common side effects include drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, fatigue, and low blood pressure.
