Use:
This medication is used to relieve abdominal pain, cramping, bloating, and discomfort caused by irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and other gastrointestinal disorders involving intestinal spasms.
It helps normalize bowel movement and reduces excessive contractions of the intestinal muscles.

How it works:
The active ingredient, otilonium bromide, acts directly on the smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract.
It blocks calcium from entering muscle cells, which prevents abnormal contractions (spasms) and reduces hypersensitivity of the gut wall.
This dual action helps relieve pain, bloating, and discomfort without affecting normal digestion.

Dosage and administration:
The usual adult dose is one tablet (40 mg) two to three times daily, preferably before meals.
Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water — do not chew or crush it.
The duration of treatment depends on the severity of symptoms and your doctor’s recommendation.
Do not exceed the prescribed dose.
