Zolinda 10 mg 30 Tablets

Medication name: Zolinda 10 mg Tablets contain the active ingredient Aripiprazole, an atypical antipsychotic medication.

Each pack includes 30 film-coated tablets for oral administration.

Use: Zolinda is prescribed for the treatment of schizophrenia and bipolar I disorder (manic and mixed episodes).

It may also be used as an adjunctive therapy for major depressive disorder (MDD) and to help manage irritability associated with autism spectrum disorder in some cases.

How it works: Aripiprazole works by modulating dopamine and serotonin activity in the brain acting as a partial agonist at dopamine D₂ and serotonin 5-HT₁A receptors and an antagonist at serotonin 5-HT₂A receptors.

This balance helps stabilize mood, reduce hallucinations, and improve concentration and behavior.

Dosage and administration: The dosage is individualized and prescribed by the doctor depending on the condition and response to treatment.

It is typically taken once daily, with or without food. Tablets should be swallowed whole with water and taken at the same time each day.

Side effects: Common side effects include headache, anxiety, insomnia, restlessness, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, fatigue, and weight changes.

These effects are often mild and tend to lessen with continued use.

Precautions: Zolinda is not approved for dementia-related psychosis in elderly patients.
