Zolinda 15 mg 30 Tablets

Medication name: Zolinda 15 mg Tablets contain the active ingredient Aripiprazole, an atypical antipsychotic medication used to treat several psychiatric conditions. Each pack includes 30 film-coated tablets for oral use.

Use: Zolinda is prescribed for the treatment of schizophrenia and bipolar I disorder (manic or mixed episodes).

It can also be used as an add-on therapy for major depressive disorder (MDD) and to manage irritability in autism spectrum disorder in certain patients.

How it works: Aripiprazole helps to balance dopamine and serotonin activity in the brain.

It acts as a partial agonist at dopamine D₂ and serotonin 5-HT₁A receptors, and as an antagonist at serotonin 5-HT₂A receptors.

This unique mechanism helps improve mood, reduce psychotic symptoms, and stabilize behavior.

Dosage and administration: The dosage should be determined by a doctor based on the patient’s medical condition and response to therapy.

It is generally taken once daily, with or without food.

The tablets should be swallowed whole with water and taken at the same time each day for consistent results.

Side effects: Common side effects include headache, dizziness, anxiety, restlessness (akathisia), insomnia, nausea, and fatigue.

Some patients may also experience weight gain or changes in appetite. These effects are typically mild and temporary.

Precautions: Zolinda is not approved for dementia-related psychosis in elderly patients.

It should be used with caution in individuals with heart disease, diabetes, liver impairment, or a history of seizures.

Avoid alcohol and sedative medications while taking Zolinda. Do not stop treatment suddenly without consulting your doctor.
